Research Coordinator - Portfolio Project[ UW Req #: 78708 ]
This position is chiefly focused on coordinating the Portfolio School District Network, a group of leading school districts that share a similar philosophy about public education provision and oversight. The portfolio strategy is an effort to create more high-quality schools regardless of provider, give schools autonomy over staff and funding, and hold all schools accountable for performance.
CRPE organizes and leads the Portfolio School District Network. We convene twice-annual meetings to provide strategic thinking, resources, and connections for districts just embarking or already deep in the work. The research coordinator will be responsible for convening all these meetings and logistics, from arranging lodging and meeting space, to managing the invitation list, helping craft a strategic agenda, and lining up speakers. Between meetings, the research coordinator will help grow an array of services and supports for the districts, including webinars and conference calls, researching and writing briefs on important topics identified by network members, and organizing other ways to reach out to superintendents, boards, district staff, and funders involved in the work. The research coordinator will also employ social media to find new ways to connect districts with each other and to connect them to relevant resources and news.
