Presenter: Christine Campbell, CRPE Deputy Director of Policy

See below for presentation slides.

CRPE researcher Christine Campbell highlights the importance of supporting choice to provide for diverse educational choices. In her presentation Campbell explains that in order for diversity to thrive, schools must have autonomy to build the programs that work for their community of students. Campbell draws from the experiences of several districts that grew local autonomy to discuss why autonomy is so important, what autonomous schools need, and how to transition from a centralized system to one in which school leaders not only embrace their autonomy but take full advantage of these flexibilities to build great schools.

CRPE is partnering with the U.S. Dept. of Education's National School Choice Resource Center to present this Webinar Series on Strategies to Expand School Choice, exploring how districts and choice schools can work together.
