Libuse Binder

Research Analyst

Libuse Binder is a Research Analyst at the Center on Reinventing Public Education, where she manages the Portfolio School District Network's twice annual meetings. She also manages the Portfolio Implementation Snapshot interviews and assessments. Prior to joining CRPE, she worked at Sci Academy in New Orleans East as the program coordinator for New Orleans Outreach, managing enrichment curriculum and staff and facilitating partnerships between the school and community stakeholders. Binder taught middle school English and history at The Masters School in New York. She is the author of Ten Ways to Change the World in Your Twenties (Sourcebooks, 2009), and she was the contributing green editor at Fit Yoga magazine. Binder also spent two years as a production coordinator for Paramount Pictures in Los Angeles, overseeing the logistics of several feature film shoots. She holds a BA in English Literature from St. Lawrence University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Antioch University, Los Angeles. She is currently at work on her second book about education reform in New Orleans.
